About the company

A small company, deliberately

MPH MEDIA & TECH LTD was incorporated in England and Wales on 21 April 2026 and works from Danbury, near Chelmsford in Essex. It exists to hold advice, delivery and operation of software under one accountable roof, at a scale where that is still possible.

Why it exists

The gap between the deck and the deployment

Organisations that produce work for an audience have never been more dependent on software, and have rarely been worse served by the way it is sold to them.

The pattern is familiar. A consultancy is engaged to write a strategy. An agency is engaged to build against it. A support provider is engaged to keep the result alive. Each of the three is competent; none of them is accountable for the whole; and the client — usually a person who has a completely different job — is left holding the seams.

This company is an attempt at the opposite arrangement. One party writes the advice, builds the thing, and runs it afterwards. That is only honest at a small scale, so the company intends to stay small: no growth target, no sales team, and no incentive to sell you a larger project than the one you need.

The best outcome of a first meeting is often a recommendation not to build anything. We would rather be the supplier who says it than the one who quotes for it. Mark Peter Humphreys · Director

How we work

Six principles, all of them testable

A principle that cannot be checked is marketing. Each of these can be verified in the first month of working with us.

ONE

Write it down first

Scope, price, assumptions and risks in a document before work begins. If we have not written it down, we have not agreed it — and neither of us should rely on remembering the conversation.

TWO

Recommend against the sale

Where the honest answer is a cheaper product, a configuration change, or doing nothing at all, that is the answer you get. It costs us a project and buys the only thing that makes advice worth paying for.

THREE

Build for the next person

Conventional technology, plain structure, documentation aimed at a competent stranger. The measure of good work is how easily somebody else could take it over — including instead of us.

FOUR

Own nothing of yours

Repositories, cloud accounts, domains and licences stay in your name. Our access is something you grant and can revoke. No client should need our permission to use their own system.

FIVE

No margin on what we recommend

We take no commission, referral fee or reseller margin from any vendor. Our only income is the fee you agree with us, which is what makes an independent recommendation possible.

SIX

Report in plain English

Status and findings written so they can be forwarded to a board or a trustee without translation. Jargon in a client report is usually concealment rather than precision.

Leadership

Mark Peter Humphreys

Director, sole shareholder, and the person with significant control.

MPH Media & Tech was founded and is directed by Mark Peter Humphreys, who is also its only shareholder. In practical terms this means there is no ambiguity about who is accountable for a piece of work: the person who scopes an engagement is the person who delivers it and the person who answers for it afterwards.

Where a project needs capacity or a specialism beyond the company, we bring in named associates and tell you who they are, what they are doing and on what basis — before they start. We do not subcontract quietly, and we do not present other people's work as our own.

Plainly stated

What this company does not claim

A young company is under a certain pressure to imply more history than it has. We would rather be explicit about the limits, because they are the part a careful buyer will check anyway.

Stated limits HONEST SCOPE
  • No client logos or testimonials. We will not publish work we cannot properly attribute or that a client has not agreed to.
  • No claimed years of trading. The company was incorporated in April 2026 and says so on every page.
  • No large-team capacity. If your project needs twenty people next month, we are the wrong supplier and will say so.
  • No 24/7 desk as standard. Response windows are agreed per retainer and stated in writing rather than implied.
  • No regulated advice. We give technology counsel, not legal, financial or insurance advice.

Everything above is checkable before you spend anything. That is the point of putting it here rather than discovering it later.

Next step

A conversation costs nothing

If any of the above sounds like the supplier you have been looking for, the first step is a short conversation about what you are actually trying to achieve.
